no, not tired. anyways, gives me a chance to research sub-$300 cameras. going to new york in 3 weeks on a school trip and i plan on buying a new camera while there... So far I've narrowed it down  to these:

Sony CyberShot DSC H10-B

Fujifilm FinePix S1000FD

Nikon Coolpix P80

I'm buying from high-street stores so i have an oppertunity to flex my haggling  muscles. I'm not  looking for  anything amazing, just something a little  better than your average point-and-shoot.

I found a Coolpix on the floor at the top of a ski lift in the french alps while away on holiday a few years ago. Handed it in to one of the holiday reps at the hotel i was staying  at asking them to give it to the police. i would do it myself, but  the french police have a bit of a rep for being a bit heavy handed with british tourists. anyway the next day i saw the holiday rep on the slopes using the camera!   cheeky bitch 'borrowed' the camera i asked to be handed to the police!
