This isn't really working...

The perfect case scenario would be where people post the hardest thing they can think of, and people will still get it. And lots of participation, so it's like a competition. Wee're far from that.

There just isn't enough anime fans here, and for the people that do know anime here, wee're mostly relatively new, and not real anime veterans with vast amounts of anime knowledge... I'm not saying that anyone sucks (I'm in no position to say anyone else sucks. I have no idea what Goshi posted. I never did very well in the past either, and most of you probably seen more anime than I have), I'm just saying that... like for example, in order to successfully run a chess tournament, there has to be a lot chess players. To successfully run a maths olympiad, the participants have to be really good at maths.... And to run something like this successfully, you would need both lots of participants, and the participants to be able to answer what's thrown at them. (Note the "successfully". It'll still run.)

Last few rounds I haven't posted anything really difficult, afraid that it's going to die again if no-one can get it (which happened every time someone posted something hard previously). And that's not really how it's supposed to be...

Your correct, the lack of anime fans (vets as you put it) will make this fail. People don't have to get it correct on the 1st guess, a wrong answer is fine. People also could give some clues as to what they are posting, if no one gets in a day or so post more images, or end their turn and pick someone else to go.

The real problem is, on one really wants to play, when the few people did guess correctly they never bothered to post the next image, or took too long to do so.

As for me holding back, I said I would for a little, plus it would really suck if I was the only one getting a turn, I don't want this to be "guess what anime I'm posting".

It's a bit different from a "chess tournament", cause you either know it or you don't...  There isn't much "in-between"ness in this.

I figured fellow SNK fans would get it right just by looking at her.

Anyway the answer is Samurai Spirits. The games rock but the anime doesn't =(
