damn google had to buy youtube!
anyway they won't stop it. . . it will still continue.
im thinking everyone from youtube is gonna move on to megavideo.com.
good things about it is it has better quality and you can upload more then 10 minute videos.
the only thing youtube has that megavideo dosnt is more traffic, which will soon be gone because of this.
Haven't they been saying this for like over a year now?
random videos getting toasted? damn that would suck.
this line makes me laugh though
site that UncertianGod posted Wrote:"And you can ask YouTube to post ads alongside your video and slip you a share of the profits."
although the video runs though a video converter first it wouldn't really be the same as the old one. or will it?
Yes, they have been appeasing the copyright holders while they develop this tech to a level where it's actually worth some money to them. It's just about ready so here comes the many year beta that Google is getting a bit of a name for.

The fingerprinting system doesn't work like a hash check, according to alot of reports it's multi layered system that can filter out if a video has been resized, had it aspect ratio changed and simple things like that. However if your really wanted to you could 'wash' a video (best way would be to do digital»Analogue»Digital conversion to evade the fingerprinting but this tech isn't designed to stop hardcore pirates (who uses YouTube for that anyway?) it's designed so that people who use bits of companies copyright can have there videos tagged with ads from the copyright holder so that both Google and the copyright holder can make a quick buck.

That's awesome. All pirated DVD rips are now legal, because they've gone through some conversion :P
all google cares for is the money.
while they don't know of the "if they do this nobody will visit anymore." kind of deal
it's like an heavy rain storm of utter confusion
