...how PayPal works, exactly. Y'see, now that I have my fancy new tablet I want to get set up to take commissions for money.
My impression is that you set up PayPal with a bank account, then people transfer money into your PayPal, which then gets transfered into your bank account. Am I correct?
Yes, that's it in a nutshell.
Oh, well, that's good to know.
Y'see, I'm a bit too young for a credit card, so my only method of non-cash payment is a debit card. Do I have to have some special card to spend my PayPal money or, once it's in the bank account can I just use my regular debit card? Sorry if these are idiotic questions, I'm a bit new to the whole finances thing.
Once you have transferred the money from your paypal account into your bank/building society account you can then spend it how you wish (may I suggest beer and cheap whores).
pretty much as was said - no special card is needed all cards are accepted i believe and money is transfered to your bank acount not the card anyway so it doesn't matter. the only thing that matters if your paying for something you can pay by the card via paypal or the bank account via paypal.
I heard PayPal is easy to transfer money to, but not so easy to transfer from.
Use the money in PayPal for online purchases :P
Well, I'm getting my finances all set up and I don't want to be carrying a wad of cash around, and seeing as my art commissions are going to be my only source of income for a few months, PayPal is my only way to get money.
And I might consider the beer and cheap whore thing :D
