M33 have done it again!

Note: quote edited for readability purposes
IMPORTANT: agree with LICENSE.TXT conditions before installing the program.

Changes:
  • Added more speeds: 75MHz and 133MHz.
  • Added flash2 and flash3 USB to recovery
  • Added a setting in recovery to change the USB device to which XMB will connect.
  • Added "vshmenu", which is a menu that will appear when HOME is pressed in the XMB. It will interfere with existing XMB plugins that use HOME, so it can be disabled in recovery.
  • Added UMD Video ISO support. The UMD Video ISOs are played using vshmenu. Video ISO go in the ms0:/ISO/VIDEO folder. They require a UMD to be inserted because No-UMD does not work.

Changes in popsloader:
  • Support for 3.30 firmware popsloader. Instructions are same as in previous release, except 3.30 firmware did not have libpspvmc.prx, so just ignore that file.
  • Warning: There is an incompatibility between 3.30 savedata and later ones. If a savedata exists from 3.40+, the emulator will freeze.

Some notes about the usage of vshmenu, and UMD Video ISOs:
  • vshmenu cannot be loaded when the browser is active. If you exit the browser, the firmware will still keep it in memory until you enter other area of XMB, until you do so, you will not be able to access vshmenu again either.
  • Video ISOs and the game ISOs show in XMB use the same core. Due to this, when you enter an in game menu and there is some ISO, if a video ISO was currently mounted, it will automatically be unmounted.
  • CSO format is not supported for video ISOs.
  • UMD audio ISOs are theoretically supported, but not tested. They go to ms0:/ISO/VIDEO

A statement about the recent things on the PSP Scene.

Wee give our support to Team Wilcard and condemn the actions of the leakers/thieves.

As facts are better than words, this program may refuse to work on your system if you:
  • Downloaded it from ps3news.
  • You are an active member of that forums's page.
  • You visit frequently that page.

In last case, and only last case, the problem will be fixed if you delete browser cache of both, PSP and PC, and stop visiting that site.

Other cases of BAN are described in the LICENSE.TXT.
Not respecting the license will bring the PSP to BRICK, because the program will refuse to run.

SEE PS3NEWS HEXed the M33 FULL VERSION and it changed the MD5

if the MD5 of the eboot is not b20e264b1e2042be87ee361fe9dd8ebf Don't USE it

ONLY use the eboot if the md5 is b20e264b1e2042be87ee361fe9dd8ebf

QJ.net Wrote:This next one is a LITTLE clarification about what has transpired the last 24 hours concerning Team M33's newest release, CFW 3.52 Update #3. Apparently, the program has refused to work and, in more serious incidents, have bricked a number of PSP units because of issues with some sites and the program's license.

QJ.NET reader MikeyMike01 sent us the information below in the hope that all misunderstandings and issues will be resolved. Here's the message, verbatim:

    * Going to, or having gone to "Criminal" Sites does not, and cannot cause a brick.
    * Upon completion of installation, one can still visit "Criminal" Sites
    * The ONLY code implemented by team M33 is one that checks to make sure that the MD5 is the correct one. Any editing of the installation (Including ICON0, etc.) done will result in a non-functional bricked PSP. Any files on "Criminal" sites have been edited, and thus are causing brickage.
    * The one hosted here on QJ is not an intentional bricker, which does not carry any higher risk of bricking than any other CFW install (Next to none)

That clears a whole lot of conspiracy theories and rumors floating around the interwebs, right? Lesson to be learned: be careful and check out readmes that come with anything you install on your PSPs. It doesn't hurt to be cautious.
UPDATE: MikeyMike01 has sent us another bit of information regarding the clarifications. Apparently, the tipster was referring to visiting the "Criminal" sites using a PC (bricking your PSP because you visited a site on your PC is quite absurd). According to MikeyMike01, in case you did visit the Criminal site on your PSP browser, "you still have to delete your ms0:/SYSTEM/BROWSER folder".
I love what they have done about the whole ps3news thing, and mapping different drives to the XMB USB mode is handy.
Oh poo poo, does the download have a password?  I mirrored it from somewhere else...

Do you or have you ever gone to ps3news on your PSP, if answer is no then no problem. If one the other hand the answer is yes you deserve a brick.
