That's why I don't like anime.
Its cuts off half of the plot. There's some exceptions to that though.

I generally prefer things which are short and doesn't go off into useless side stories...

Hi Lunar Legend Tsukihime! Way to make the original plot absolute garbage and make nonsense take up the whole series!

Tsukihime a bad adaption of the visual novel if u want to look at it that way, which everyone on Beast's Lair does. It doesn't exactly follow the visual novel story line faithfully, leaves some stuff out, and adds in stuff not originally there, so as an adaption, it's dodgey.
BUT if u just look at it just as an anime, not thinking about it's basis on the visual novel, pretend u never knew about the visual novel, and compare it with other anime as an anime, then it's a good anime. Think of Mai-Hime. The manga follows a completely different storyline from the anime, completely different (yes the anime came first, then they made the manga). So if u rate the manga based on how faithful it is to the original storyline, it would get 0.5/10. And I'm sure u agree with me that that's not how wee should rate something, based on how closely it follows the source. And people in Beast's Lair should recognize that. After all, a very large portion of them probably got to Beast's Lair (fan site) because they liked the anime, very much. It may not be the best adaption, but as an anime, it has a solid storyline, good music, and overall a good anime.
Oh, and "make the original plot absolute garbage and make nonsense take up the whole series!"? That's a bit overboard. The only major alteration of the plot i remember is Shiki's first encounter with Arc (which the manga decided to do also). There wasn't much other alterations to the storyline, only very minor ones maybe. You must've read a completely different path of the visual novel, like the Akiha route or something. Arcueid has 2 routes, the true route and the good route, it follows one of them. Can't remember which.
Interesting how Tsukihime is hated by most true fans of it, and liked by non-fans and not-so-fans. Trend I've noticed is that the deeper your fandom, there more you hate it...!?!?!?!?!

IMO a good anime.
Planning on uploading it sometime soon. Partially because of the h.264 extra compression experiments i was talking to you about like 2 months ago. Perfected that, now looks way better than the one i sent u back then, at the same size, with both improved quality and frame size. Something small and highly compressible like Tsukihime makes a good test subject for such experiments.
I'll have both versions (HQ and Super Small) uploaded sometime in the future, dual audio, optional embedded soft-subs, chapters and everything.

it was DAMN confusing lol :P
Yes. that's the one.
Somewhat confusing in some cases, there are some stuff the anime just leaves you in the dark about, as with all anime/movies/whatever based on something more detailed, like books/manga/whatever. Some details have to be cut out, and as a consequence, you're not getting all the info, and it becomes confusing.
It's a bit confusing, mainly cause you're missing a lot of information that just got lost in the transition into an anime, but I found Neon Genesis Evangelion to be a lot more confusing..
