Can you access recovery? If you can't, you've got yourself an expensive, permanent paperweight. Though if it's not a TA-082/086 motherboard, you can theoretically unbrick it with an Undiluted Platinum modchip.

It's not a TA-082, and i can access recovery. But when i try to get to the normal menu, the screen stays black, and the power light stays lit.

you not bricked, just reinstall M-33 via the "Run program in ms0:/PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP" command

no because i can't get to the XMB, only the recovery menu.
