OHHHH! Right, I remember not liking SVCapture at first, too. Here's the thing. in SVCapture's ini file you just have to add this line:
capture.ini Wrote:BoostBrightness = NO
Following, a screenshot test, two screenshots taken from the exact same area of my XMB, only difference being the glow animation.
Here's a screencap of my XMB with screenshotbmp.prx:
Here's a screencap of my XMB with SVCapture with BoostBrightness = NO:
a "Difference" comparison in photoshop of the two images:
All pixels that are identical are black. the others are the color value of the "difference" between the color values of the pixels on each individual picture.
I think which plugin wee use shall be a matter of preference, after that. :D
EDIT: originally posted SVC Screencap with the same filename. so it was the same as screenshotbmp's image. Fixed.
Thank you guys, both of you! I didn't know you could do that! :D
*runs off*
However eventually, I would still like to get screenshot into f0. I'm particular and have my favourites. :)

screenshotbmp.prx is damn near perfect, I agree. It's smaller than SVCapture because it does one thing and one thing only. But not being able to map the screencap button off Note would drive me INSANE when someone's trying to talk to me. *holds to mute* *takes a screencap*
Eventually, my memory stick would be full of screen captures. and 4GB can hold a LOT of screencaps.
As for the purpose of the original post, bstronga could help you with that. At this point he's like the only one of us who knows how the btncnf.bin files are structured.
Yea, that's why I didn't want to mess with them - he said you have to move some stuff around. Interesting what happens though, if you change the .bin to .txt and open it with notepad. Why don't you guys take a look? Even the format is the same. I want to try messing with that and I'm very tempted. But I'll wait.
Also, the note button isn't that bad. I just turn the vol down if I'm trying to hear something.
by the way, Tenshigami - your xmb looks incredible!
Here's my new one: (it's on evolvexmb if anyone wants it. For 3.5x M33)

I'm quite proud of it. It's like a child to me. ^^
Yours looks pretty friggin' awesome, as well. O_o
It's got way more prx editing than mine does. I only just STARTED modifying prxs.
I haven't changed the font yet (just the color...) because I'm currently playing Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology, which uses the font stored in the PSP's flash, so it really screws up with custom fonts.
I want to animate the portal to the right of the ALTIMIT logo (as well as the visualizer-ish bars below the logo), just like in the .hack// games. My original idea for the portal was to replace the busy icon with it, and change the x,y location. That didn't go over so well...
Hey,
do you think you can send me your wallpaper? I think it will look pretty sweet with my theme. And now that you've explained the .hack// thing, I like it even more. I never played the game, but I have MAD respect for it b/c I've seen it played.
Thank you!
Here's what it looks like:

There's more colors where that came from. They're all over the net. I just resized them.
Dude, I had no idea how GREAT the stock font could look in BLACK. WOW
Thanks for that one, too! :p
