The only time I'll ask a question is if the documentation regarding the said information is totally borked and needs a human to explain it. Usually my remedy to this is just another book, but asking someone can really ease the pain of having to search through a chocolateton of information.

I agree.  Which is why I asked that person for help.  I just didn't think they would want credit for it, since it seemed like something that wasn't really all that special.  But that person is kind of egotistical anyway.  I guess it would be better to avoid help from people like that, even if they are the best, it would probably be better to ask someone else.
