For just videos, basic gaming and downloading, I'd probably make the following changes to boogs' build (which is pretty good):
- remove video card (as you've asked), the integrated one on the CPU should be enough for pretty much any game as long as you don't mind some lower settings
- switch to a cheaper ~$70 motherboard
- if you're planning to attach an external drive, maybe consider switching the 320GB HDD with a ~$60 60GB SSD
- 2x2GB RAM may be enough, though won't save too much
AMD's A10 chips are due next month I believe, so if you can wait, that could also be a consideration.
What boogs put you together works very well though instead of the 7770 I would go with this 6850:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6814127566 if you want a dedicated card and don't mind the slightly increased price. I know you said you don't need all that much graphics power though thing card gives you one of the best power for money values and is nearly unhearable silent^^ It can easily play Battlefield 3 on High in 1080p if you are like me and don't need Anti-Aliasing though I agree with Zinga, if you only plan light-gaming the APU _should_ do the job however I never saw one yet in terms of real-world performance so I can't help as much there :/
Plus you can always use the APU first and put in a dedicated GPU later if you want the power^^
well pretty much every mobo these days has hdmi out so if it's films you want to watch your fine so long as you have a tv with hdmi...

SSD's are faaaaaaantastic.

Which motherboard should I get? The one boogs recommended is out of stock anyways.
I also changed to a 120 GB SSD since I'm gonna get an external HDD anyways. ;3
The A10 is coming out close to my birthday. I think I'll wait for that one and buy the other parts. I'm in no hurry so if it can make the build even better I'll wait. =D

Wow that looks very powerful. I might get it but idk.

If you're going for A10, they'll go on FM2 motherboards, so none of the ones out yet.

For your budget, I probably wouldn't recommend something that big - around $120-130 minimum for a decent 120GB SSD I believe.

No point - buy everything at the same time. Prices generally go downwards, so if you're not going to have a usable build until next month, don't buy anything til then.
Also the A10's graphics will be more powerful than the current APUs. A8-3870 can already play every single game out there, so you should have plenty of power with an A10 - you can always add a card on later anyway.

Thank you so much~! Does it need to come with anything else?
Do I need that Sapphire video card? Maybe I'll buy that later if I need it~or do I need it? x3
Your build seems a lot better because of the power supply. Also 320 GB is enough for now I can always buy an external HDD. :>
I think I'll go with yours boogs minus the video card maybe ;>
that's about it really ..
whether you need the gpu or not, completely depends if your that much of a gamer or not
like zinga said.. the apu's can handle low-medium gaming
*gave you 8gigs cause you do graphics and stuff .. i figured you might need the extra ram .. they're really cheap these days anyway :D

lol sorry! didnt notice :)))))))
waiting for the A10 like zinga suggested would be a good idea

and if you could squeeze in an ssd in the build....

Well I guess it depends how much the entire build costs. But I'll wait and buy the entire build when the A10 and the motherboard come out. =)

RAM is pretty cheap. =D
Welp sounds like a plan, thanks guys
