Dunno, SAO Ep3 wasn't a particularly good episode. Disappointing really.

after watching eps 3, many old fans are disappointed to the SAO anime adaptation. that event is shown better in the LN

I should hope so. The time jumping and seemingly unexpected events depicted in the episode was a real detractor and I've not even read the novels.

Plus it only gets negative points from me for trying an emotional scene using characters introduced in the very same episode. Characters do need to be developed - I can only assume this is done in the novel.
