I created this out of imagination. This is only a concept.

Before you ask, The "User bar" (The bit where you can access the User CP) is locked at the bottom like the page switcher of Aoi Sora is locked to the side. Also, I need to add an online/offline thing.

Nice theme concept.

Pretty good - could do with some more work but you've got some good ideas in there.

Photoshop concepts are pretty useless.

Unless you have the intention, time and expertise needed to actually make the thing.

I think the purpose here is to see if anyone else likes the concept and if anyone has any suggestions.

I agree with what you say regarding making it, but there's nothing wrong with concepts. Putting your idea down is the first step to making it.

Makes me question at least the expertise (ie. that he knows how to do it) part of the 3 things I listed.

Also, not that I'm an engineer, but I'm pretty sure making designs without knowing the feasibility is bad engineering practice.  Should be clear on what's possible and what's not before designing.  Otherwise I'll go right ahead and design my PS3 emulator for the PSP.

Bulletin board systems can be finicky - and the real limits come into play when you're making something with the intention of releasing it to the public - keeping things tidy and not using a fudgeton of  scripts.. so it's hard to estimate what you will be able to do unless you're pretty familiar with the theming system used by the BB.

Personally, I find MyBB to be a pain in the donkey and I'll never do another theme as extensive as Aoi Sora again. (wee got pretty far without going over the top, though.)

Ha. Well yeah, that does make sense. Me and Sky broke that rule on purpose though - and in the process wee learnt about the feasibility of highly customized themes on MyBB. I don't see how wee would have been able to tell otherwise.

I'm not a fan of the background, but the rest looks fine.
