I hope the PS VITA scene will not fudge up as the PS3 scene did over the last months cause of the piracy infected environment.
If you ask anyone who was with the beginning of the PS3 scene it was much more fun without the commercial sense behind it all.
Without this spoon it would even have saved many talented people of a lot of trouble.
Nevertheless I hope to see the good guys back @ VITA!

As the last version was hardcoded for a specific firmware, this new version supports any PS VITA firmware file.
As well graphic bugs which appeared for some users should been fixed now.
As a little extra I implemented an information tab, which shows various info about the loaded firmware.
Information about the single files will be added in the next release, to be honest I was to lazy to implement it for now :P
In the next days I will compile it for Linux and MAC, so anyone can use it.

Do you actually want the Vita to be a success? Then don't hack it, giving the people the method to pirate games, and buy games for it.
The reason the PSP sucks so much in the West is because so many people hacked it, and as a result bought no games for it.

Also extracting a firmware file does not constitute finding any glitches, so i doubt this will lead anywhere.

so maybe PSVita will be more doomed than 3DS? Hell Yeah!

While this is true, it's also true that Sony didn't provide an outlet for homemade applications for it. If Sony want to avoid the piracy and encourage homebrew coders they need to provide a platform and well.. as far as I know there isn't one for the Vita. Same goes for customization.

Portable devices should have the ability to be customized - just look how rampant theming was for the PSP - and most of the original work that came out of it (a lot from folks here in the void) was amazing. Again, a shame Sony don't seem to be accommodating users in that respect too.

The best thing wee can hope for I suppose is that it doesn't go further than User Mode hacks (a HEN will do fine). That said.. no theming with just User Mode...
