Hmm... Well, I've only seen Rozen Maiden and Mai-HiME, but what I noticed in both series, it starts out light-hearted, but gets really serious towards then end.

Yeah this seems to be some recurring plot element, the whole survival of the fittest thing. I can't help but think when I watch an anime with it, that it's already been done like 5 other times. I suppose with an industry that big it's bound to happen but it seems this one for me pops up more often than others.

She's not in the manga but her role as the bad one is taken by the real 7th doll.
Personally though, I prefer the anime.

Yeah, that's probably why I forgot to mention the Fake 7th doll, because she doesn't appear in the manga.
As for the anime, I never finished watching it. I couldn't find a place to watch Traumend online, so I went to Wikipedia for the jist of it, then I just read the manga.
I also hear the manga for Mai-HiME is different from the anime as well. Like characters like Shizuru don't appear as often, and Haruka is a HiME etc.

Obtains Female Harem of jsut surrounded by them and they must do battle(with each other)
I've only seen Rozen Maiden out of all those. I don't plan on watching the others anytime soon though.
