guys.
Does anyone know if can i convert an icon form 48*48 to 128*128 without to loose it quality ?
I'm trying to make a ps3 themes but the icons I've got are 48*48.

Sure, in photoshop

Image>Canvas> Increase width&height to 128x128

should be the same for gimp^ :P

This just increases it to 128x128, it doesn't make the actual image bigger

Redraw it :D

I have a feeling he wants to increase the size to an actual 128x128...

hence, he wouldn't say "lose" quality right?

In this sense, there are ways to make the quality better after a resize but to my current knowledge it's impossible to make something bigger and keep the quality constant (unless it was a vector, but that's a totally different thing than from a normal image)

That'd be...difficult depending on the icon

that and the fact that it's 48x48 so subtle details may not be able to be reproduced effectively @_@

But all in all possible, i wouldn't bother though :P.

^^  best bet by far!  still won't be as good as redrawing it.
