It doesn't read or write faster. The electricity running through your computer was already slow. Unless your motherboard has legitimate gold running through it's circuit you still have resistance.

having gold in the flash drive's circuit prevents any resistance added by the flash drive as well, the circuit WAS already limited due to the motherboard, but the flash drive was only adding more resistance into the whole mess, and i don t love my school XD i just had to think of another reason because trademark91's computer cheated

but then why do motherboards use gold instead of silver? it would be cheaper to use silver too, wouldnt it?
