after a long time of just using my psp for a music player, i finally broke down and bought an ipod video! its pretty neat. i got this click wheel, and i can play music and watch videos.

oh and did i mention that i installed linux to it and have gameboy emulators, multi-os booting, and custom themes for the main music player?

screenshots :3

i also ordered the ivue clear faceplate and some LEDs, along with an extended life battery. now im saving for a 240gb hard drive for it.

the iVue panels are great

just be careful with the clickwheel, it's glued on pretty tough

thanks for the warning
Oh nice! I like what you did there!
does it still sync with itunes with linux on it or can you just use it as a removable device now?

also where are you soldering the LEDs to?
That is very nice. Enjoy

no it still syncs. when you boot up, it gives you a bootloader, just like grub (i think this is called loader2) you can choose between linux, rockbox, and appleOS.

if im going to sync, i just boot into appleOS, and it syncs perfectly fine. then i can browse the music library that has been synced from any OS on there. and im soldering the LEDs to the headphone jack power supply, that way they'll pulsate with the music, and turn off when i turn off the ipod.
