SLI/Crossfire is for enthusiasts with too much money to burn.

You can't see a difference between 40fps and 120fps.

And the GTX460 is probably the only good card from NVidia right now (of mid to high end).  470/480 sucks, runs too hot (loud) and eats too much power.

im not planning on having an SLI setup when i finally get it anyway
maybe an upgrade to SLI if i need it ;)

alrighty guys. . im getting the system in idk .. mabe ten hrs time (its 1254 in the morning, sleep wake travel buy)

heres what im planning on getting

intel i5 2500k 4core/4thread 3.3ghz 6m cache


still figuring out what to get between these 3:
asus p8p67 pro b3 | asus p8p67 m b3 | asrock p67 pro3 b3

* i don't think ill be doing SLI , do i just go for the cheaper asus/asrock board?

palit gtx 560 ti 1gb/256bit gddr5

wd caviar 1tb blue/green (whichever is available)

xfx 650wt modular PSU

cooler master haf 912 mid-atx case

2x 4gb ram (whatever is available)

***** these are the items that i could get locally so.. yeah .. i don't have a lot of choices xD
and the shops listing is being gay (i think theyr updating it) .. the ram sticks are mssing from the list! :))

yeah.. i was supposed to do this build months ago .. but i got held up because of that.
tis ok now.. the 1155 boards are all B3 ;)

What's the primary HDD going to be?  You don't want a Green drive as your primary one.  SSDs are cheaper now, and with the SF2000 and Intel G3 released recently, SF1000 based drives probably will come down in price soon.
Otherwise, try a Samsung F3 1TB or WD Black 1TB.
