I don't think game development companies put that much of a consideration on the console being hacked.
I mean:
- if it's not hacked, it could very well be in the future, including throughout development of a game, or shortly after it's released
- if it is hacked, and wee're halfway through a game being made, it's probably unlikely that wee'll back out
- if it is hacked, and wee're considering developing a game, what alternative platforms do wee have?

I don't the PS3 being hacked is just the worst thing I can think of. Both for Sony and it's Users. Who's gonna want to sign contracts with Sony when they have had the reputation from the PSP systems history. Even if this were to be used just for homebrew someones gonna get the genius idea to make ISO's playable on the PS3 (If its called iso's for Blu-Rays). So, I just can't wait to say this, "What The FUCK!!".

But the PSP has gotten many games despite it being so hacked...
I really don't think hacking has any significant impact on game development.

I would think the PSP gets alot of speculation under the fact that it has been hacked. Some major game companies see that the people who are loyal will still continue to buy their games, but do you think they don't think about the Piracy that is widely spread on the system? I'm sure Piracy has stopped the production of many games on PSP and they moved else where most likely to the PS3 as it has more capabilities and Piracy doesn't exist in any form. When and if the PS3 gets hacked if a ISO loader is built in or added on they will speculate the PS3 as well. Sorry for the Novel I just thought I'd give my Point Of View even if it may be completely wrong.
