147,800 miles of good times on the highway!
...Poor piston rod couldn't take the pressure.
The first date I took out in this car is now my wife.
This was the car that brought my baby home from the hospital.
Truely it will be missed for I can't afford the $6000 or more to swap in a new motor :(
Now I am on the hunt for someone to buy it as is for as much as I can get :(

very sad...very sad i am

Since this happened on Friday...
-I have broke my coffee thermos that has kept me awake in this car for the past 2 years.
-I broke the wheel off my office chair and almost fell and broke my head.
-Our HD DVR cable box in our bedroom died last night and I need to get it replaced today

Now wee are a 1 car family and after I find someone to buy my broken down car I will be able to buy tires for the Harley and get it all up to par to drive again since I haven't driven it in 18 months...so some good has come from this...and then there is the slight chance that I will have the chance to buy a 2011 wrx next year when they come back, because FINALLY subaru has gotten their head out their donkey and gone back to the mean side of design rather than the gay euro style that has been failed for many years now.

i hope you get those tires...
Poor Scooby. The Harley does look pretty kick donkey though...
but why the heck you didnt check the belt and all that spoon .... well RIP.
tough weekend :/

is a motor swap the only option??

that sucks :(
I know how it feels. When it rains, it pours. My Mac Book died, my PSP died, and my cell. All in one week.

Hey could that be a country song? Hmmm

Hope you figure something more permanent out.

I wasn't realy doiing that ;)

I had cruise control on doinig 85 in 5th gear...just minding my own business.  Then all of a sudden all the dash lights started to flash and my gas pedal didn't do anything :(

My buddy says all the timings look fine with the belt and upon more inspection and turning the motor he hears clank clank from a busted piston rod :(

Since i was going 85 there is more than likely extensive damage done to the cylinder/head and rebuild is going to cost $4500 just for the rebuild..not including labor to remove and reinstall :(  There are alot of WRX lovers in The Land of Lincoln that can do the install themselves and resurrect my poor suby...  My wife says it happened for a reason...maybe to enjoy the Harley more since I have neglected that for over a year..but I don't know.
Nothing that bad has happened to my taco so far but the other week my altenator belt split and got shredded to pieces. Luckly i was near my uncles to replace it. 30 dollars for one little belt!!!
Sorry to hear that Schmilk, seems like that car meant a lot to you, I can only imagine. For alas I have yet to own a car Emptyone
Whyowhy You got some good pics of it too T.T
