My last car was a 1999 Land Rover Discovery II which I drove for 4 years and only put on 60,000 miles...but spent probably as much time in the mud as i did on the pavement. That took a terrible toll on the vehicle and it needed the motor ported and polished, torq converter rebuilt, front middle and rear diffs rebuilt, ball joints replaced, coming up to a grand total of $8500-10,000!!! So the day after I found out about that I drove it to the subaru dealer and traded it in for the wrx.
I almost hit 150,000 miles in just under 6 years with the WRX...which happens to be the only car that I would ever buy again.

Murderer!!!

jk
i hope you get those tires...
I wasn't realy doiing that ;)
I had cruise control on doinig 85 in 5th gear...just minding my own business. Then all of a sudden all the dash lights started to flash and my gas pedal didn't do anything :(
My buddy says all the timings look fine with the belt and upon more inspection and turning the motor he hears clank clank from a busted piston rod :(
Since i was going 85 there is more than likely extensive damage done to the cylinder/head and rebuild is going to cost $4500 just for the rebuild..not including labor to remove and reinstall :( There are alot of WRX lovers in The Land of Lincoln that can do the install themselves and resurrect my poor suby... My wife says it happened for a reason...maybe to enjoy the Harley more since I have neglected that for over a year..but I don't know.
surely getting an engine rebuild is cheaper than a new car
especially a 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX
2011 looks nice though :p
but id much rather get me a fiat 500 abarth ..
y? .. idk.. i just like it
dont have money for either so... meh
Fiat 500 abarth would very well fit a wife, child, and baby supplies very well LOL
The 2011 wrx can fit 3 full golf bags in the trunk...aka...its very room back there ;)
And after more thinking about it, putting $5000 into the motor could open up alot of new problem worms that will need more money...and since i don't have the $5000 to start off with, its best to just let it rest and pass it on to someone with the time and money to take care of it...having a brand new car = brand new warranty, and no hassles again for 3-6 years :)
* trademark91 is proud to say he rode in that car
nice chopper-hog! :)
may the car rest in peace!
my car is styled by Abarth ^-^
