Well ever since Win7 my PC had a quite fast boot time, however yesterday I gave Hibernation a shot.... my PC now boots into a 100% working state with all my usual programs in about 15 seconds!
Who needs SSDs again for boot time speed?

Used to use hibernation all the time when I had a desktop.
I seem to favour Sleep more with the laptop though.
But with Sleep you can't completely cut the power or can you?
Sleep with laptop For the win! Fold down the lid, stuff in bag and pray it doesn't turn on...

hehe,. you prob won't buy a SSD for boot time speeds,. ;)
i nevar us ehybernation,. but i wil try it out! :woohooooo:
I always hibernate, cause I can't be stuffed reopening apps. Boot speed is about the same for me - 4GB of RAM does take a while to load, and I don't really have many startup applications.

yeah... i find 4gb to take some time but as soon as it's up and running everything works smoothly
3GB RAM here and I have many startup apps Zinga^^
@Vegetano: tell how it goes :D
