Have you ever noticed that HQ modes download faster than their regular servers?

Have you noticed any other service usually downloads quicker because they arent getting as much traffic?

Have you the strange habit of videos simply not loading no matter what you do?

I mean... YouTube can really suck. I miss Stage6 and I really CBA with Veoh.

Not that I need to upload anything anyway.

Yeah veoh eats quality of any video posted on it

Youtube seems cleaner although there are issues
When youtube started enforcing clip length, I had a short relationship with veoh due to longer clips that I wanted to upload, but not in parts. What I don't get is why do they REALLY think limiting the length is going to prevent anything? I understand people saying it is because they wanted to cut down on pirated episodes and such being posted illegally on youtube, but how is that stopping people from just chopping it up into parts? If you say that they now have a way to check for illegal postings more easily, then why have the length limits too? Really stupid, IMO. For one thing, it annoys me to watch competitive matches on youtube because now I see part 1/3 or part 1/4 and I know how quickly the match is going to end. I can ignore the elapsed time at the bottom just fine, but I HAVE to look for the next part, and so I know nothing big is going to end it all in part 2 or part 3 of a 4 part match. Ugh, so annoying.

Licensing.  You need to pay royalty fees for H.264 clips over a certain length (various conditions apply).  The Youtube length restriction is about the maximum they can get away with without paying royalty fees.  Then again, it's Google, and they could easily fund it, but on the other hand, since when were companies designed to satisfy users' needs?

Alternatively, use Theora.  Even though not as efficient as H.264, Youtube's non-HD clips are so badly encoded that Theora can probably be about as effective.

Meh, I still find youtube to be a chore to deal with nowadays.
Tis what you get with monopolies - you do whatever you like and everyone is stuck with it.
Welcome to the Internet sir... :D

I have noticed that videos do have a lot of loading errors though.
Stage 6? What's that?

@Joomla: Oh gosh, good to hear. Well, it's actually bad, but now I can blame Youtube instead. I've been fiddeling with that for months :-(
