Pocket money is hardly an indicator of whether your parents are loaded or not. Some kid gets more pocket money that you «- means absolutely nothing. Even jobless people relying on the government will have enough money to pay an amount as small as a bit of pocket money. Rather, it's a measure of how much your parents spoil you.
I know this exchange student back then from highschool, his parents send him the equivalent of $1000AUD every week. He drives a BMW to school and buys himself a new pair of $200-$300 Nike shoes every 2 weeks.... that's what I call parents being loaded (supposedly, they own a casino in Hong Kong). He gave me a Razer Diamondback mouse (which was $100+ back then) as thanks because I lent him some money one day he forgot to bring his own (wee used to play Warcraft3 at school, and my mouse was quite s
hitty).
I still use that mouse.
nop, no where near that level. as i said, my budget over here is pretty limited too. =p

since i came here @ US, i was self-supporting myself, i like the freedom and knowing that i can live and support myself with no aid, makes me happy.
but i miss school and happy-go-lucky days lol ( no need to work)

When I was in college, these were my EXACT thoughts (wow.. its almost as if that years ago! A year does pass quick ROFL!!). Even after I got out of college, I slacked of for a few months. Then tried my hand at proper working, got bored and left that place....
However, now I have the best job I could have asked for and am already planning on the next step! (Yea... move out of this god-forsaken country... >_>)
