rev 1172~
I couldn't open any TTA, APE or FLAC file. XReader just opens them as a text. What can be the problem?

P.S. I added xr_rdriver.prx to game.txt if that may be important.

P.P.S. Adding xr_rdriver.prx to game.txt makes psp crash after using Home button to leave the game or homebrew.
FLAC works fine for me, haven't tried the others.  Are the extensions for the FLAC files, .flac ?
One thing I noticed with this player is that it doesn't seem to do much buffering - ie the MS led is constantly flashing (and flashes like crazy when playing the FLAC song)

there are few options in config0.ini about buffer, try to turn it on
Didn't know that, thought the INI was just a reflection of what's in the settings menu.

Code:
musicdrv_opts=mp3_brute_mode=off mp3_use_me=on mp3_check_crc=off mp3_buffered_io=off mp3_buffer_size=65536 wma_buffered_io=off wma_buffer_size=65536 show_encoder_msg=off

^ You mean that?  Tried changing the two values from 64K to 1M and *_buffered_io to on, and MP3s definitely do play better (though fastforward/rewind is still a little dodgy).
Unfortunately, as the name suggests, it only affects MP3/WMA, and doesn't help with AAC, OGG & FLAC unfortunately :/  Also tried manually adding stuff like ogg_buffer_size=1048576 ogg_buffered_io=on but it doesn't seem to respect those.

After using this for a while, it appears there's no ability to delete everything in the playlist (you have to do it one by one).  Kinda annoying when you want to make a playlist of a folder, then scrap the playlist and make it from another folder - you have to manually delete everything in the current playlist first.  Not sure if deleting the music.lst file is a shortcut for this, but it's still a little annoying.

I have tried only whole album files, not one file per track. But are they that different to not to play at all? The extensions were correct of course. And I'm still clueless about that xr_rdriver.prx. Hope there was a usage and installation manual.

So you mean one FLAC file for the entire album?  If so, I guess there's a possibility that the file is too large, though it wouldn't make sense if that's the case.  Just try a smaller FLAC file for testing purposes.

You don't need it.  I think it's if you want to launch games or homebrew from within xReader or something.  Check the translated readme.
Tried a one song flac file. Still opens a bunch of text. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? I open my root music folder and select the flac file by pressing "circle".
Also, pressing "triangle" on it it just gives a bunch of options like "read as text", "open text" and something like that.
I used those 3 rars in the 1st post as a base and copied REV1172 over them.
I'm using the old rev (1145 or something like that).
Really weird then.  I think it opens all unrecognised extensions as text, so for some reason, it's not recognising your FLAC (even if it's a bad file, it'll try to play it, ie if you rename a .ogg to .mp3, it'll try to play it as an MP3 and fail).
Do other music types play?

EDIT: appears to be an issue with r1172, try with the older one.
Yep, Zinga. Seems to be a problem with rev1172. Those 3 rars play lossless just fine, which is awsome. However, rev1172 plays mp3. Let's give it the credit =)
By the way, does xReader by any chance support cuesheets? Would be like totally cool if it does.
Just tried it and it just opens it as text. Quite a pity.
