If I had a Pandora, I would have done that ages ago.

When I got this PSP, it was loaded with 3.95.

i am not sure but there is a late 2000 version wich is't unbrickable and the PSP3000 is,.. well i mean is't offcourse,. ;p

He probably wouldn't be waiting for this if that was the case.

Running the recovery flasher won't actually do anything unless you confirm options in the menu.  I'd imagine the risk of something going wrong when writing to the battery is low, but then IDK.  Installing DCv8 shouldn't be an issue.

writting battery eeprom was successful on my phat with hellcat recovery flasher 1.50!!
