Well if that's the case, too bad for all the people who don't already own a psp. They wouldn't make people buy a whole new psp for 4.xx so lets just hope a new firmware will come of this. If not Ill just stay at 3.40 and not get any new games
no offense to ppl who care so much about psp, but now i kinda see it as a thing to have and not as a hot item on the market like it was when it was announced (and even then after its release it was kinda dull) the only thing that makes psp different than most other portable game devices is its features and that it was hackable, i doubt that the new FW is hack-proof, wee'll just have to wait and see though, i still see a lot of room for improvement though and i doubt sony will be the one to deliver :P
if wee have been shown anything before its that the hackers are great at what they do.
i fully agree sony won't be the one to improve the psp beyond what wee have - the hackers will.
sony has lost the plot because of its disdain for for the regular guy on the street. add that to the fact theres very little in the way of good games in the future and its pretty bleak.
i think right now the psp is being supported almost completly by the hackers and coders.
2.00 was supposed to be unhackable
ta 082 was supposed to be non downgraddable to firmwares beloe 2.50
2.81 up was supposed to be unhackable
but if this is true r sony trying to tell there r weaknessess in 3.40
what weaknesses? far as i know you can't downgrade from 3.40 yet. why make a 4.XX? all they are going to add again are Playstation titles and a network fix, but never a flash player upgrade.
