It is basically ridiculous reductions on certain items.  A couple other things I got... a 32gig flash drive for 45USD, and a Saitek II keyboard for 40USD.  That flash drive ran out QUICK.  This was actually the first Cyber Monday I have ever participated in.

...but still, 30-40% reduction in prices?  Seems unrealistic, unless the shops can actually afford it.  Other possibility is if they're trying to clear out stock, but then, if the aim is high sales...

I see your reasoning though.

Black Friday is the retail stores. They completely get cleared out of all their stock within 2 hours.  You'll see stuff like 40" LCDs for 700USD and the like.  Cyber Monday is for internet only.  Also, there is almost NEVER shipping charges on cyber monday.  the biggest reductions are on individual items, which was how I got those deals.  However, many online stores just do a 20% off all TVs or 10% off all items and no shipping, instead of individually pricing things.  Amazon had thousands of individually priced items.  Maybe you should visit the US annually just for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and then move back after it :D

Regardless, when the Phenom II comes out, prices will still adjust most likely.  It'll all be according to how consumers react.  If I save a total of 40 bucks, it'll be worthwhile for me.
