Anyway, it's because wee've watched a lot of similar stuff. Maybe both borrowing DVDs from the library played a part in that. EP also did.

Fruits Basket was actually the very 1st video I've ever encoded. Xvid using AutoGK using the English dub audio stream. And like 350+MB per episode at DVD size, and maybe also interlaced, with external vobsub subtitles. I remember you talking about also encoding this back then, encoding both video angles, resulting in ~600MB of stuff per episode.
