i need books for my networking courses. Cisco and MS and Network Security books etc. I checked out the local shops where they give decent and reasonable discounts on IT books and stuff, but the collective cost still accumulates to beyond my preferred limit. Then I wondered, I can get ebooks from the net, and depending on the source, the included cd.
Now I am confused between the two. What do you guys prefer?
Ebooks. Easy to carry, multiple system and even console support. Works on both Mac's, PC's, and probably even Linux Distros. What's the loss? Wee, students can only gain from this.
I actually carried the eBook version of my Physics textbook on the PSP. Not easy to read, but the PSP sure beats a ~1kg textbook...
For the lighter books, I'd prefer the easier readability over an "e" version.
Though you can always print them out at certain places.
I prefer holding aa book and reading it sometimes. Kinda like when I prefer reading manga in its book form...dunno why, I just like holding in my hands while reading.
@Meh..
I know what you mean. I really prefer the old school approach. But I guess ebooks are quickly replacing them. I still might get a book though.. at least one.
you can ebooks on your phone to and ipod or why not a audio book
i fall asleep listening to audio books :/
could never tolerate them! plus they aint good for the books that i want!
i read ebooks on my psp alot and ge t the books i can't get as ebooks
solution to hard reading at nigh die to blinding backlight
hit invert pdf in bookr and reduce brightnes to lowest setting :D
If memory serves me right, I think books don't require batteries, or hardware to read them?
