Well, my happiness has once again come and gone.

Last week was one of the best weeks of my life, despite the inordinate amount of homework I had. Basically, I was free. It was Spring Break, and I was the only member of my family still in-state, as my 15yo bro, Fred, went to Arizona with a friend, and my mom, dad, grandma, and 5yo bro went to California. No disturbances while at home, no one bugging me every 5 minutes asking where I am while at a friend's house, nothing. And even with the homework, it was heaven. It was even still heaven, albeit a bit less so, after Fred got back on Saturday. During the last week I got a good amount of homework done, went to 2 separate Super Smash Bros. parties with my gamer friends, went up to Salt Lake with my friend where she and I had an awesomely fun time goofing off, and overall loved my life.

Then, last night, my parents came back. I knew it wasn't gonna be good when they called me at 9:55 PM, asking why I wasn't at the airport and to hurry up. Mind you, I was 5 minutes away, and they also told me to be there at 10:15. So then, they get home, and right as I get out of the car, they yell at me to help with the luggage while I was struggling to carry 4 of their suitcases. Then, wee were all just sort of minding our own business at about 11. Mom was watching some crime show in her room, I was showing Fred Zero Punctuation, and my dad was playing piano. Then, my dad decides that he's done playing piano, so its time for everyone to go to bed. Me and Fred ask for 2 more minutes to finish the Army of Two review, but before wee can finish, my dad cuts us off by yelling "BED! NOW!" My brother, on the way into his room, brushes his hand by his guitar, which makes a strumming noise, which my dad hears, which causes him to yell "I TOLD YOU TO GO TO BED NOT PLAY GUITAR!!!!" So that was my night. Then, this morning, I finish my shower and get dressed by about 7:00. Fred was up and starting to get ready, then my dad yells that wee have 10 minutes to finish being ready to go to school. My brother expresses his disbelief, seeing as his school starts 30 minutes later than mine. My dad mocks my brother. My bro says "Are you kidding? It's only 7:00!" and my dad imitates him.

Other than this, since they got back, I've felt more tired, and the pain in my knee came back. I hate home. </depressive rant>

I don't like trying to pinpoint anything, but don't you think your Dads reactions were awfully acute?

It's like pinching someone, that kind of acute.

To me it seems like paranoia, acute paranoia..

Does your Dad have much to stress about?

How are you with your Mum?

it seems obvious to me that your parents are having a hard time - either with each other or with something they both share an interest in. my advice, take it or leave it, is to try and have a chat with either one of them or both of them. if they are not in the mood then you will know it - trust me. your other choice would be to do more around the house and hope that helps a bit.

My mom will generally side with me or my brother, until my dad gets mad. Then the spoon hits the fan, and they gang up on us. And my dad doesn't really have that much to stress about anymore. Actually, pretty much all of the stress he may have he blames on me and my brother.

Actually, they're fine together. They're like best friends. They almost never disagree on anything. And I actually did try to have a chat with my mom about some stuff, and it ended on a bad note. Basically, long story short, my dad is really my step-dad that adopted me and my brother about 5 years ago. I tried talking to my mom about the fact that I was getting this "other kid" vibe from my dad, like he feels like me and my 15yo bro are just his adopted kids, while my 5yo brother is his real son. I tried having a rational conversation with her about it, no harsh tones, no loud voices, nothing, and she called me a selfish bastard and threatened to leave me with no money while they were gone in California (meaning I wouldn't be able to go anywhere, as the car needed gas and I would be stuck with our food storage stuff, ie dried stuff and canned stuff)

Basically, my parents hate that me and my brother have opinions, and any time wee try to voice them they freak out at us.

I know exactly how you feel there metal, it's not great. Unreasonable unjustified actions that you have no fudgeing control over, it leaves you wondering what the hell to do.

Oh and Diego, Torn knee ligaments suck, had mine torn just over a year ago, it got better, but it'll never be as good as it was. Always goes tight and achey, especially after excercise.

haha lol that sucks, i hope it gets better, its strange how parents can be sometimes, perhaps they're all stressed out that they perhaps lost control of you lot when they left and are trying to get you back in your places asap? well anyways hope it gets better, that's funneh about the guitar lol

And Beaner, you may have a point. They're probably trying to get us "back in shape" after being "without guidance," despite the fact that their shape is a horrible disfigured blob.
