My internet is realy pissing me off i have 2mb which is enough for me but yet im getting crappy downloads speeds and crappy page loading speeds

it takes me 2 mins to download a 12 mb file
and it takes me about 15 secs to load a page

i was wandering is there a way to speed up connection or open up more ports or have my wireless and my ethernet connection running at the same time or have windows limited ports again like on xp

please someone help me cause its pissing me offf

try using firefox with the plugin faster fox
and adblock plus

and n adblock plus add pagead2.googlesyndication.com

Faster fox plugin, hasn't been actively deveoped in a while and won't work on the newer builds because of the problems it causes, and the extra strain it put on web servers. But all of the settings it tweaks can be edited in firefox manually using about:config.

12MB in 2 minutes = 100KB/sec » MUCH better than my connection.

In fact, it would be considered quite a good connection here in Australia.

I disable images to increase page loading times :P I've been doing so for the past ~7 years, so I'm used to it...

Your on telewest, if your getting slowdown it's because of there throttling policy, they will drop you back down to 256k/sec if you download to much in any 4 hour period, still it's better than the service BT gives. Full details on there website.
