So I haven't had the chance to play this yet, but my friend was telling me about a level in the game that you play as a terrorist with 5 or 6 other guys and walk through an airport mowing people down. You do have the option to skip it if you are too uncomfortable with playing it, and you don't even have to shoot any of the civilians when you go through. Upon hearing this, I HAD to check it out. Of course when I remembered to youtube it, I was in the company of my girlfriend and a friend of both of ours. They sat there and watched the whole thing, but the video I was watching cut off before the SWAT team shootout. My girlfriend was in utter awe at the fact that "They would make something so terrible like that into a game." She seemed really put off by the video, and was very uncomfortable.

I think that this level is pretty awesome, but even still, I sorta feel uncomfortable because of the idea and what has happened in America (9-11), although I am plenty aware of terrorism in other countries.

How do you feel about this level? Do you think that it is pure awesomeness and are finally glad they did something like this, or are you just as mortified as my girlfriend. I'm kinda on the fence about it to be honest...

wow, i don't really care about the real world implications of that level, it looks fun, i want my copy of mw2 now =(

Having just saw it I have to say that's a pretty insane mission... but this is what games are designed to do. Entertainment. Be that shock or laughter like a horror or comedy in movies.

I feel the bloodier the better...doesn't matter who you are killing, its JUST A GAME!

FPS were made so wee can kill anyone and everyone in wild mad blood thirsty rages, while not causing any harm to humans!  

I can't wait!  I should be getting it this weekend for the PS3 :D

I wasn't trying to get flamed by everyone, I know that its a video game. I personally like it, but can see how other people who don't play video games on the regular or recognize what video games actually are--entertainment--would have a huge "What The Fuck" factor.
