Getting a new computer soon, have some questions.
So I told my dad I wanted a new computer and he asks me if it's possible I take my HDD out of my old computer and stick it into a new one which I don't know if it is possible which is why I'm asking you guys.
Lastly, I want a PC mostly for gaming, though it's likely I'll use it for other things.
What would you recommend?
Thanks in advance.

Is your computer a laptop or a desktop? Meh, perfectly possible with both, just easier with a desktop than a laptop.

You know it's absolutely pointless for anyone to give you suggestions until you tell us that...

You bet it'll have a reserve price. No way they're giving it to you for $650.
Sold for AU$1225.
I'm not terribly sure, but this is how I understand it. The minimum bid price the buyer sets is meant to be their reservation price (usually isn't though) [this item's was $500].
Once bidding has ended, as far as eBay is concerned, there's a contractual obligation for the winning bidder to send the money and a contractual obligation for the seller to send the item (yay, contract law).
I personally think, however, this is fraud. Of course, if they live in some other dodgy country or something, not much you can do with the law. The seller has like 5 of those computers for auction, no reputation or sales history.
Your average person probably won't have 5 of those, so he's obviously up to something.
Back on topic. You can move the HDD across, but if Windows is installed there, it probably won't like it. You'll probably need to reinstall Windows.
