A life scarring moment...
first off, the required information, in spoiler form:

Spoiler for my job:
I work in a retirement home (a hospital devoted to keeping old people until they die) as a dietary aide (one who works in the kitchen preparing  and serving the food, as well as washing the dishes and cookware after the meals)
So, anyway, I was cleaning off the dishes and getting ready to go home, when i saw the most horrifying thing sitting on the plate i was about to scrape off.

Spoiler for what i saw:
SOMEONE'S TEETH!!
They were just sitting there on the plate. At first, i didnt even see them, i reached onto the plate and started to scrape it, and then i felt something hard and warm (shut up you perv), and just about lost it.
i spoon bricks, not like that mindfudge thread.

Holey hell!!

I setup a network at a retirement home..I worked real hard to forget all the senile old people saying their stuff was being 'borrowed' and they wanted to go home.  :(  its real sad.

Props for what you do!!  I couldn't do it.

lol its not that bad...
since i work in the kitchen, i don't see them much. (but i also make minimum wage) I only see them when theyre complaining that theyre food is too hot, too cold, or too average (yes, they actually complain if its lukewarm), or if they want something else to eat or want coffee or something like that. but for the most part, its just like working in any other kitchen, except that you also have to serve pureed food and nectar/honey thickened beverages.

Thing like this don't seem to affect me. You should see some of the things I fish out of the bins and drains where I work...
