HELP! Having trouble accessing EP!
Let me start off by saying, I am not on my regular computer, but rather on my dad's comp. It is usually being used by him, so this was one of the first times I could access it to post this thread.
For some reason, for the last day and a half or so I haven't been able to access certain aspects of different sites. I can't access the mailbox on youtube, can't post messages on N4G, and I can't access EP AT ALL . Both my computer and my dad's computer are on the same network, yet his can do all that, while I can't.
I never realized how bored I get without EP, and I really need some help here. Not sure if knowing our router/modem stuff is necessary since it is allowing one computer to access the stuff, while not the other. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance, and I miss you all!

Also, check your cookie settings and try another Browser.
I recommend SUPERantispyware because it kills the baddest of the bunch and pwns the spoon out of Spybot and Ad-Aware.

RE: HELP! Having trouble accessing EP!
You can also try to identify the source.
Open up a command prompt (Start » Run » cmd) and type:
If you get a response, it means that a connection is getting through, but there may be some other issue. If you don't get a "reply" (ie, "Request timed out" or "Ping request could not find host ___"), then the connection isn't getting through.

RE: HELP! Having trouble accessing EP!
Alright. First off, I don't think it's a bug or virus because I have daily spyware/virus checks with ad-aware, counterspy, and spybot S&D. And they are on all the time.
Almost everything works in IE, but not in Firefox. I am a Firefox user, but it isn't working there. I hadn't changed anything recently, though. Weird... any ideas what could be causing it to only work in one and not the other? Apparently, I still can't log in on N4G, even on IE. I can check my stuff on youtube and get on EP though... what on earth is going on ><

RE: HELP! Having trouble accessing EP!
If it's just Firefox, try uninstalling it, then reinstalling it. Also try the Safe Mode as suggested.

RE: HELP! Having trouble accessing EP!
Okay, I backed up bookmarks, then uninstalled firefox. Next I restarted in safe mode, then opened up IE and tried everything. EP still worked, but youtube's comment page and n4g log-in still didn't. I reinstalled firefox, and EP worked on it then. I rebooted, and EP is working again (thank god). As for N4G, I click log-in, and it sometimes says "waiting for n4g", and sometimes not, but nothing happens. On youtube, it shows that it is loading comments and personal messages, but at bottom it says "done". It just stays like that, and never loads the comments or anything. However, it is working on my dad's computer. Also, half the time, my replies to threads won't post. I click post reply, and it just sits there, not posting or anything. However, sometimes it does post. Think maybe it is firefox 3, even though this all started happening a day before I got Firefox 3...?

That happens to me only when my connection breaks off. I have to reboot my router, sometimes, but very rarely, quick reply doesn't work, but it usually becuase the page hasn't finished loading.
