Download of prison break season 3 episode off torrent but it is AVI format and I got Divx install and still can't play . Anyone know how to solve this ?

Are you having this problem with a lot of files or just one, if it happens with a lot of them then

Uninstall and update or re-install your

a.) sound drivers

if you still have the same problem

b.) DirectX

WMP gives very informative error messages, pretty much like all Microsoft applications (I love the "Unknown exception" or "System error (-12894679435)" errors)

Get Media Player Classic, KMPlayer and VLC and see how they go in those.

i got one of those errors before. It told me i needed a certain decoder and it gave me link to download it. It turn out to be a virus that took months to get rid of.
