Browser war = Fairefox can do more than any other browser because of the insane ammount of plugins available, but it's memory usage can be a twat, opera is fast & secure but can screw up page display and it's adblock isn't anywhere near as good, IE is a joke.

Vista = Any "feature" that I was interested in during the Longhorn BETA didn't make it into vista, it's just the same as XP except with a far worse driver model and DRM slowing everything down, pointless until at least SP2.

Mp3 players = iRiver for the win, .ogg suport, USBhost controller, wireless models, touchscreen models, ability to install new codecs yourself.

I love threads that evolve, stops them getting boring as you read down :)

Vista has lots of trouble running several C++ programs along with some MS-DOS stuff. There's other reasons as well like a crappy GUI and its somewhat slowness. On the plus side, you get DX10 and it crashes less than XP. But doesn't make up for the huge loss for being unable to run the mentioned programs along with its awful GUI >_<

Vista is SLOW. That's enough reason to not use it, however good it looks.

Does have some convienient features though, like U don't even need to configure LAN anymore on vista, it does it for u altomatically.

XP has trouble running some DOS stuff as well. Some DOS stuff I've used can only be run propperly on real DOS, it screws up on any Windows.
