Really do think most review sites do it too harsh, but still, overall, probably a sub-par FPS:
- "uniqueness factors" are all "tightly bundled together", for example, you've got a long stretch of driving the truck, and a long stretch of underwater diving, rather than having them intermixed
- only being able to hold two weapons kinda sucks, but most FPSes these days have similar limitations.  In DNF however, the special weapons make the limitation somewhat more sucky, since not all weapons are effective against enemies (the freeze gun seems to have no effect on Octobrains, and neither does the RPG).  So you end up usually carrying a chaingun or shotgun at all times.
