A little update guys

Thanks for the Info.. I scanned through it and it's a very interesting topic ~ if it DOES get released, wee'll have HDs of Wii Games ready to play, zomg Ahaa

But their points are very true - the USB support in the Wii could choke dynamically loading games because reading speed isn't as good as the Wii Disk Drive .. wheras preloading games would just take longer to load...

STILL - I'd like to see one thing get released first lol...

Will it be the PS3 or the Wii to get backups first?

Indeed USB is going to slow down loading times ALOT! The back up loader is the way to go, they are working on getting it to read at x6, then it will be bomb.

And this will get released way before the PS3 back up loader if that's even in the works.

anyone remember the PS2 USBHDD....good lord, any game with more than 10 seconds on AMV's at a time, and your screwed

Don't forget, the large part of the games with be stored in RAM. only load times will increase, gameplay itself will be very good for the most part, unless the game is dynamically loaded. ITs only load times and AMV's when you realise it was stupid to rely on a USB drive for anything remotely useful XD

funnily enough, i bought a d2pro 1 week ago and went through the sweat and tears of 12 hours trying to install it
