i feel there not really better - i feel something else is wrong. that's why i won't be playing the tourney to win because its pointless.
the only point to the rant is i think some people are cheating or the netcode is messed up for the things i have seen while playing.

Yes there are glitches but if your don't trust the online races as a measure of your speed then look at the rankings and see where you fair at fastest lap times.

I see where your coming from, i really do. And I've played uncertain god a few times also (he's won everytime). BUT, you need to learn not to let it get to you and to get back up when you've been beaten. After the first game with UG, i knew i would never be as good as him. But i still try to win. I know he's probably the best in this tourney but that doesn't mean you can't have fun. Also, i'd like to point out the fun is subjective, not objective. That means there is no set rules/definition of what fun is. Fun is different for everyone. For example; i find it fun just to screw around when i know I'm beat. maybe mess with everyone. With Wipeout, sometimes I'll race around the track backwards just to fudge with everybody. other times, I'll just race around, but I'll race like a n00b cause it annoys everyone. that's my idea of fun. Also, i like a good challenge, i don't give up easily, but i' know when I've been beat.

your very correct and i have done the very same things as you for fun. i just have a problem with losing all the time (and in fact im starting to not lose every time but still not even near to rapier class) and i also have a problem with cheeky and arrogant people - especially if they are the ones winning which more often than not, they are. anyway i do still play it a bit but most races these days are rapier or above which i can't yet do. its hard to believe i ever played at rapier but i did - must be the old age :P.

if your worried about wasting time, then why play games at all? And if the cheeky arrogant bastards that never lose make you feel bad, isn't that all the more reason to kick them off their pedestal? I have trouble with rapier class also, but that doesn't mean that I'm not trying to get better so i can kick some more donkey.

naaa i don't think anyone in out league is cheating... if i thought so id not let them participate....
basically this league is just to see how good you are verus people you actually talk to online other then people at random... yes it means nothing really as all video games are a pointless waste of time lol but a fun one... i find it easier cause at least here @ EP wee have the shoutbox to talk to each other before and after the game which is something to game itself lacks and needs really... some people are just better then others.. this games takes alot of practice to get good at the high speeds... UG just happens to the best player here at the moment but not unbeatable cause ive done it twice even though i always drive like i drank a bottle of vodka.. don't be discouraged by loseing a few races... play the game alot on zone mode and moke a goal for at least 30 and if you can do that then your doing good...

oh and sorry for letting the league go to hell everybody... been really busy latley but im still around and i didnt forget lol.. yet... been working alot to make up for the time off during the holidays.... need a new tv and a pc moniter

well my best effort is 24 zones - usually i can get that but never more. i am winning quite a few races but i still can't shake the feeling that some people have an advantage of some sort.
ill give an example. i was playing and raced 3 perfect laps in a row - all of a sudden im racing side by side another class racer (pirahna i think) , then he pulls away - i think ok that's fine. guess what he won by. 18 seconds. now that's a bit much for a single lap. my best effort with 4 perfect laps, not hitting anyone, nor walls, was only 10 seconds ahead of the next player and that was with a spoon load of boosts.
if it was a one off occurence i would just write it off as a much better player but this happens regularly - and the same people are able to pull this off every time. i see it up to 3 times a day with maybe 1 hours play per day.
having said all this i do still play the game - which is why i can win races now, but im still not playing certain people (i don't mean anyone on here - just regular joes playing the game). what im saying won't bother you guys anyway i just layed out my thoughts. i am not accusing anyone on here before you all get the flame guns ready im just saying i prefer playing people who i feel will be about my level.

well the pirhana does have a higher top speed the other vehicles in the game. Also, I've noticed that when your in the lead, your more likely to get a turbo than a weapon.

i don't mostly - i get many other weapons which i absorb, boosts are about the same chance as any other weapon from my experience. maybe you get more boosts at rapier speeds or above?

@anger .... no im not saying your accusing anyone no flames here :) .. but i know what you mean.. i consider myself a mid level player of this game... ive beaten people by 15+ seconds on rapier ( ive also been stomped by that much as well) and did not get one perfect lap... perfect lap just means you didnt hit the wall... and its not uncommon for a pirana ship to go that fast ahead... it is the fastest ship in the game and with a good pilot its unbeatable... it does seem like some people cheat though like the guy named God_of_lords ( or something very similar) so do not play him.. he is either very very good, a wipeout fanatic or a cheater or the game developer cause i can't come close to beating that guy lol
