No, they won't. The dye layer and other stuff would decay way before that.

I have seen pc's using ram drives,.!? offcourse i understand you have to keep your pc turn on,.to keep all data,.
And to copy large amount's of data from 1 harddrive to a other sometimes takes hours,...
I quess this new storage tech is not ment to be used as a harddrive!?
The harddrive is currently still faster than all the other mediums of storage though, that are targetted at storing large amounts (so not including stuff like RAM, try getting 500gb of that...)
