RE: Vacui Natale's Random Thoughts
Yeah, that's the thing... They actually go out of their way to make the place seem less like prison, lol. The dorm supervisors actually want us to decorate our rooms, but I don't have many things to put on my wall, besides pictures I've drawn; I'll have to find some that aren't disturbing.

Also, I think anything you don't complete in class becomes homework. I don't really see many other students doing homework, but I have seen students doing research for upcoming exams in the computer lab, other than that, you do have a lot of free time after class. Most students spend their time in the Rec Hall shooting pool or playing video games. There's also a student lounge where you can watch TV and stuff, and there's a vending machine in there. There are also vending machines on dorm, and lounges to watch TV or play video games, and you can order take-out if you don't want to eat the food in the cafeteria, or missed dinner or something. I'd go on, but different Job Corps centers have different things. For instance, some have computer labs for each dorm, whereas ours only has one in the main building to be shared between dorms. There are other computer labs in the CPP building, but that building closes after the training day, so no one can access them. Some Job Corps have swimming pools, and other extra stuff like that. When I was reading the brochure, it said each center is unique. So, I can only give information based off the center I go to D:

Another thing, I was expecting most of the meat in the cafeteria to be processed, but it's actually not O.o Public schools are government funded, and the food there always tasted like poo poo, so I'd say, the food here is actually better than what they serve in public schools, which is odd considering that they both get their funds from the same source. So, I've concluded that the government probably puts more money into Job Corps, or the one I go to has better chefs. And, the only thing that's processed are the ribs, which is no different than what they put on a McDonald's "McRib" sandwich, so that's about as far as processed meat goes. The week before, they actually served General Tso's Chicken and I blown away at the quality :O Overall, the food at the Job Corps I go to is pretty great.
