The place sounds great, nothing like I imagined it. Im planning on starting College next semester. If for some reason I can't get in, I will have a back up.

Anyways, hang in there and good luck. Hope everything goes right for you.

Hey, thanks! I'd say it's a good alternative to college, and it's always great to have back-ups/options in case something doesn't work out.

Oh, and yes, most of the rules are there to protect the students. But yeah, it's not a horrible place, at least not the one I go to, which is Woodstock Job Corps in Maryland :P

Shared dorms?
Food provided?

How long do classes go for? (i.e. 5 days a week 9am-5pm?)

There are no shared dorms, girls and boys are separated. Most of the time rooms are, what they call, "Four-man", meaning you have four people in a room. How the beds are in certain Job Corps centers vary, like, some centers have four single beds in a room, whereas in my center, you would have two bunk-beds in the room. That, or they may only have two beds in a room in general. I'm in a Three-man, so there's one bunk-bed and a single bed. I now have the single bed, since one of my roommates moved into another room, and apparently, it's a tradition to never let the new girl have the single bed, so I moved from the top bunk to the single bed, lol. There are Two-man rooms here, but only the students with good scores are lucky enough to get them, and chances are, you might be in that room by yourself.

Yes, food is provided. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the weekdays, and brunch and dinner on the weekends.

Classes are from 8am-3:30pm on Mondays-Thursdays, and 8am-3pm on Fridays. Wee get out of class earlier on Fridays, so residential students can board the buses on time to go home on the weekends.

Speaking of which, I was finally able to come home this weekend. I'd catch up on anime, but I just don't feel like it.
