So what does that do?

The sole problem was not being able to use the second controller, thus not being able to really hit him. i didn't really have problems with his attacks or anything else.

it distracts him since its his face under the masked statues

and as for my worst boss experiences:
N-Gin from crash bandicoot 2,-i didnt beat him 'till just recently when i picked up the game again in 04'
Metal Gear Rex-Playing MGS on the psp, it was so annoying because of the damn psp controls
Ares from God Of War- it took me 1 week and a half playing every afternoon for about 2-3 hours each time
