Something is funny if it manages to entertain you in a way, typically through the use of something or someone's stupidity or an oddity.

If someone keeps committing the act of stupidity, it tends to loose it's humor value, as it's no longer an oddity (unless the fact that the amount of re-occurances is considered odd).
