It is always advisable to have a UPS connected to your system. It will ensure that you have got enough time to save your work. Moreover in the end you can safely shut down your system. Two years back my system also got shut down due to power failure. I was not using UPS at that time Home Theater Design . I tried to restart the system but it did not work. Finally I had to seek professional help to solve the issue. From that day onwards I have always had a UPS attached to my system.
