If I remember correctly, he refuses to watch stuff like Code Geass and Death Note because they're too serious, and he likes watching comedy dramas and moeshit instead.

But then why did he watch Kara no Kyoukai?  That's no less srsbsns compared to Death Note, and definitely a whole lot more srsbsns than Code Geass or FMA.
