No the system version came from the flash0 files cptbl.dat, index_02g.dat(slim one), and version.txt


Have all them replaced and your 5.00 is now 5.50.

My next question is how are you going to get these flash0 files? If you install OFW, you won't access flash0.


Theres always a way to get into the flash of OFW, think about elf_menu......
