I think the issue was that M$ pushed Vista onto devices that really werent ready to handle Vista, and it created bad experiences for some users. Being less understanding than some people, they simpley reported that "Vista sucks" as opposed to, as assassinator said, "My laptop isn't powerful enough to run Vista adequately". Once "Vista Sucks" is out you have many users how boycott it based on these reports, other users who trial but are biased because of these reports, and other user users who suddenly become experts on why Vista sucks. A lot of the hate was simple mob mentality.


Personally, i didnt hate Vista, but my laptop wasn't really powerful enough for it, and my Desktop was fairly new so wasn't due an upgrade. I considered it unnecessary, and, were Windows 7 beta not currently running, and the promise of Win7 by the end of this year, / Q1 2010, i would quite happily be running Vista on my dektop right now.
